I was never really a pet person before I met Olga. I was newly married and my spouse came home from work and said we must go look at a little puppy at a local pet shop that she saw on her lunch break. I didn't really want to go but she insisted. I must admit seeing Olga for the first time I couldn't believe how cute she was, but I still wanted to reason that we would be better off not having a pet. My wife really wanted her so I didn't really have a choice, we now had a new puppy.
I couldn't believe what a well behaved baby she was, at the time I didn't know much about Bostons, but I quickly fell in love with the breed and my new baby Olga. She was simply amazing, she never barked and was well behaved even though she did like to chew on things as puppies do, but even that wasn't a big deal at all. She was simply the cutest most loving thing I had ever seen. One time she found a baby bird that had fallen out of its nest in our back yard and she gently picked it up and took it to her mom who was out working in the yard, because Olga knew that the little bird needed help. She was such a sweet dog. After Olga was about a year and a half old, we then got her a playmate named Maggie, she was an adorable tiny Boston that just recently passed away 3 months before Olga did, Maggie was almost 13 years old.
At the early age of 10 Olga started losing her vision, by the time she was 12 she was almost completely blind. As time went on she developed more problems like vestibulars disease and she had arthritis so she needed pills for pain relief. But even though she was getting old and had many illnesses she was still always a very happy baby. But whether it was cancer or her prescription pain pills, her stomach lining became very thin and developed a small hole that caused her to go into shock and she died within minutes.
My little Olga, you were a huge part of my life for almost 15 years, I miss you so much.
