Malekye was originially brought for our grand-daughter Stephanie.
When she moved out she decided to leave Malekye with us as
we became so attached to him and him with us. He thought he was human
 not a bunny.He was our sweet baby boy. He adored my hubby and hubby him.
Malekye would lay next to him on the couch, or by his feet by the couch.Hubby
 always had to be where Malekye could see him. Hubby would get down ion the floor
 with him and Malekye would shower him with bunny kisses.He would wait for
 hubby to get up in the morning and chase his feet and followed him around.
       He  developed lumps in his stomach and we had surgery done on him to remove them.
By a specialist in Tampa. When he was a couple years old. First surgery of that type,
 ever done on a rabbit.The specialist  said he was a special bunny, and he came through the surgery really good. But they could not removed all the lumps, two were too small and his heart started acting funny so they had to close him up with two lumps still in him.They grew but, he continued to be his sweet loving self, and give us unconditional love!On Saturday May31st, he woukd eat and started acting funny, my daughter took me with him and we rushed him to the specialist in Tampa..They got him stabalized, and we told them to go for a second surgery. But the specialist that Monday said that the surgery chance was only 10% and more than likely they would open him up and just have to close him up without removing them as they grew huge.We loved him so very  much.We made the very hard decision to put him to sleep. So on Monday June 2cd, Stephanie was with me and I held him in my arms and told him how much I loved him and was going to miss him , and the vet put him to sleep while I held him. I held him in my arms all the way home, Bill made him a beautiful white casket, and we wrapped him in his favorite sponge bob blanket with some chew toys and treats and laid him to rest in our back yard., folowwing weekend Bill put over his grave a concrete slab, and I put some baby bunny statues on his little grave and ordered two sweet memeorial stones for him which now adorn his grave. We love and miss our sweet baby boy so much!!!!!!And will always love him and he will be forever in our hearts!!
