We received Oz into our home during a rough period. He arrived when our daughter, Leah was in the hospital. Bringing him to the hospital on the patio was the only way we could get her out of her room. His life was a comfort to her and to many others. He was a therapy dog for Hospice of the Valley and brought smiles to many suffering people. He also comforted me through my journey with Multiple Myeloma and recuperating from my stem cell transplant. Oz was such a silly dog, and always brought a smile to my face. He was extremely vocal and had the funniest way of expressing himself. Most of the time he would ask for an invitation to get up on my lap. He would rest his chin on my leg, looking at me with an intense look. If I didn't invite him up, he would begin talking to me until I gave him the sign that it was ok.
I really miss my little man. My lap feels cold without him.
