My Story

Bonny was a rhodesian ridgback x bull mastive , she was a gift from our uncle when we moved into our new home after our parents divorced . From the moment bonny came into our lives she brought a sence a security and happiness that our family hadn't had for some time . As well as some very trying times along with some messy ones , She didnt like being outside to start with which would not of been so bad if she would of at least gone out there long enough to go to the toilet ,but that not Being an easy feat for her because as soon she was put out to be toileted she would stand at the door crying to be let back in, you could stay out there with her for ever waiting for her to go but it was guaranteed that the minute she came back in she would pee on the floor, After a couple of very trying weeks she finaly got the hang of it thank god , Then she decided being inside was fun with all the electricity cords laying around what fun she found chewing on them until one day she found that they could give a hell of a bite back and her days of chewing the cords ended very suddenly as did her life almost , After the first twelve months that I think we were probly all lucky to survive bonny became one of the most important thing in the world to myself my three sisters and mum ,she was the most loyal companian to us she was like a gentle giant that put up with all the poking and proding from us as kids and never batted an eyelid at us , she was so loving faithful loyal and gentle , we still miss her very much its been four years now since we lost Bonny to cancer , We have a new dog now but she can never replace BONNY , And I think that she makes us even more aware of how lucky we were to of had such a great loyal protective and loving dog as her she was ,she has left us with so many beautiful memorys that we aften talk about and laugh about together.
