My Story

When I decided to get a dog I thought to myself, " I will have the sweetest, most obedient dog ever."  I told my friends this very same thing and they looked at me like I was crazy.  I knew they were thinking to themselves, "good luck with that."  And then there was Casey.  The dog that became the sweetest, most obedient dog ever.
Being my first dog ever I was totally clueless about how to train a dog or even care for one.  I bought books but still ended up lost most of the time.  I won't lie here, the first three years were tough.  She had so much energy that I didn't know what to do with most of the time.  I'd never seen a dog who would play fetch for as long as you would throw to her.  Most of the time, you would get way tired before she would.  She started out as an outside dog but of course that didn't last to long.  Within several months of having her, I had given in and let her inside.  That's when Casey and I truly bonded and when she touched the hearts of the many roommates that came and went at Big Texas Valley.  She definitely loved people.  She would much rather hang around a bunch of people then other dogs.  She always wanted to be where the party was at....as they say.  Of course, I could go on and on and probably never say all I want to say about Casey.  So, I'll just end now by saying 'thank you!"  Thank you for being such a patient soul, thank you for teaching me so much in our 13 years together, thank you for your unconditional love, thank you for sweet personality and thank you for spreading joy into so many peoples lives.  I will miss you everyday.

I love you, bubba!
