Sandy came to us off the streets. She was found by a friend of my husband's who was unable to keep her. He knew we were looking for another dog to keep our then dog, Savannah, company while we worked. I remember going to meet Sandy. I sat down and she jumped into my lap and claimed me as hers. I loved her from that very moment.
She was a loveable dog with a friendly disposition. Sandy was an amazing companion and was a great nurse when I was sick laying down by me giving me lots of love. We were a bit concerned when we had out child but Sandy loved her just as she did everyone in the family.
There were times she fought with her sister and there was some real bad ones. However, she was a very good dog and I loved her a whole lot. My daughter came up to me and said, "I miss Sandy." That almost brought me to tears again because I miss her too.
