When we adopted Sassy 14 years ago at 8 weeks old, we werent sure she was even going to live. She became deathly ill the night we adopted her, and we had to make the decision of whether to take her back or stick with her to try to make her better. 14 years later I can say that I'm glad we made the decision to keep her. She was never an energetic dog, but she was ever patient, and she prided herself on her beauty. She was a mother figure and a teacher to our younger dog, Twister, and now that she's gone it seems as though the house has an empty space impossible to fill. We miss you baby girl, and we will never forget you.
